2016 Sacramento Indie Arcade Speakers: Cory Vincent and Aaron Carter from Videogame Bang

The VideoGame BANG! podcast, based in Sacramento, CA,  was started by friends Cory Vincent and Aaron Carter in 2013 as two guys hanging out talking video games. Since then they have added a few other friends and have joined the crew at Nerd Reactor.

Cory Vincent has been an avid gamer since childhood, but upon entering adulthood was forced to put gaming on the back-burner and succumb to the monotony of day to day life. After suffering through some life changing circumstances with loss, family responsibilities and ultimately a struggle for mental health, Cory decided that life is too short and that it was time to pursue his passion for playing and discussing video games as a career. Along with his long time friend Aaron Carter they created the Videogame BANG! podcast which has been going strong for 3 years and has featured a variety of special guests such as composers, AAA and indie game developers, award winning voice actors, and even hollywood stars. Cory has also joined the world of video game journalism as a writer for NerdReactor.com and has recently been promoted to the Northern California Content Coordinator.

Game enthusiast, Aaron Carter, began the Videogame Bang podcast with Cory Vincent in 2012. Podcasting opened many doors for Aaron including interviewing game developers, composers, and internet celebrities such as Ashley and Anthony Burch of Hey Ash What Ya Playing, and YouTube star Freddie Wong. In 2013 Aaron Carter began writing for Nerdreactor.com focusing on every facet of the gaming industry. Writing game reviews, opinion pieces, and generally covering all gaming trends. He has held multiple panels at conventions such as Sacanime and Wizard World and is even covered E3 for Nerd Reactor, and intends to cover the gaming and geek culture for as long as he can.

Their show covers video game news, technology news, and anything in nerd culture. VideoGame Bang broadcasts live shows every Saturday night at 9:30 pm pst and a podcast every Thursday. Join them in the chat during their live shows at twitch.tv/videogame_bang.

Each Saturday in March the crew will be hosting a Sacramento area indie game studio to come in to chat and show their game off during the live Twitch broadcast. This will be a taste of what's to come on Saturday, April 9th in West Sac. The first show goes down this Saturday, March 5th with Rocktastic Games. Be sure to catch the show!
